In this phase, the localization request is received from the client and assigned to a project manager who is responsible for:
- Analyzing the project and identifying its scope
- Checking that all the source files are complete and not corrupted
- Ensuring that the files prepared for the translators are in the required format
In this phase, the project manager will:
Develop the project schedule and time frame.
Allocate the required resources to the project either for translation or DTP lifecycle.
In this phase, the project production takes place and includes the following:

Editing/Reviewing
Pre-DTP Localization Engineering
- Desktop Publishing (DTP)
It includes:
Adjusting the layout and master pages
Fixing the formatting
Applying the language- specific conventions
In this phase, the Quality Assurance check takes place in which:
A Language QA Specialist reviews all the files.
Creates a draft PDF for QA, proofreading & revision purposes.
Performing a QA check on the target PDF file against the source file.
All the reports of the QA phase are sent back to the DTP specialist to apply them in the original files and regenerate the final PDF to be delivered to the client.
